PDP Zamfara Interim Chairman, Alhaji Kado Yahaya, on Saturday slumped and died at the Tudun Wada collation centre, throwing the state into confusion.
Kado Yahaya was appointed an interim chairman of the PDP three days before the ongoing congress by the two third of the state party executive council members.
This was after the party suspended its ex chairman, Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha, who was blamed for the party’s failure in the 2015 general elections.
According to reports, Kado slumped and died instantly when the collated votes were allegedly manipulated by the congress committee in favour of Senator Hassan Nasiha. This turned the collation centre into free-for-all between members of several warring factions.
