Having returned from the UK to Nigeria, Buhari has taken to addressing the rumors that have festered with his 2-week absence from the political brew in Nigeria.
The APC presidential candidate has declared that he is 'physically and mentally fit.'
On Thursday, February 19, 2015, Buhari left Nigeria for London, and the PDP began debates and suggested that Buhari was battling health challenges that warranted his depature for the UK for medical attention.
It was at a crucial point in this narrative that Buhari appeared at Chatham House in London (February 26) and delivered a lecture.
Now he's returned to Nigeria.
General Buhari arrived Nigeria at 5:45am aboard the British Airways, dressed in a black flowing gown and addressed journalists who had been lying in wait.
When asked if he had really flown abroad for health reasons, he responded: “I just went off for a couple of weeks to rest. That’s all I did.”,
The journalists, not letting go easily, asked if, in the course of his visit to the UK, he visited a hospital.
He answered again: “What is wrong for me to go the hospital? Am I not here now? Aren’t you seeing me? Are you seeing a sick man?"
“I went to Chatham House. I read an address and there was a question and answer session. That’s all.”
