The Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson has approved the release of funds for the payment of the pension and severance pay to Former Governors, their Deputies and other Former Political office holders including the immediate past Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva.
Governor Seriake Dickson also approved the setting up of a 4-man committee to look into the review of the ordered revocation of the sales of the Government Quaters in Opolo area of the State to political office holders under the last administration and the issues that arose from the sack of members of State Government Statutory Agencies and Commissions under the last administration.
The Committee is made up of Bayelsa State Secretary to the State Government, Professor Edmund Allisson-Oguru and the State Commissioner of Justice and Attorney-General,Kemesuode Wodu. While on the side of the Former Political Appointees were Former Secretary to the State Government, Alabo Gideon Ekeowe and the Former Special Adviser on Legal Matters, Barr. Dennis Otiotio.
