Chinwendu Ihezuo's 16th minute strike gave the Falconets a ticket to the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on Sunday, and the coach, Dedevbo believes the time to start preparations for the. 2016 FIFA world cup is now.

The Basetsana stole a goal from their visit to Nigeria in the first leg of the qualifiers through a penalty in added time, which reduced the Falconets' advantage going into the second leg.

South Africa continued to fight but the Falconets held on till the end, and will be one of Africa’s two flagbearers at next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.

At the end, Coach Dedevbo said: “Our ability on the African continent has never been in doubt. We had a gameplan and stuck to it till the end.

“Our objective now should be to start preparing towards winning the World Cup next year.”
