[Press Statement from Gov. Ayo Fayose]

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has sounded a note of warning to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari over unprovoked attacks on the campaign train of President Goodluck Jonathan in some parts of the north.

The governor said; "We will no longer tolerate any orchestrated attack on President Jonathan and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party anywhere in the country."

Governor Fayose , who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said President Jonathan's humility and silence of must not be taken for granted.

He said Buhari should not allow desperation for power to lead him into throwing the north into another orgy of electoral violence as he did when he lost the 2011 presidential election.

Governor Fayose said; "Having signed a pact to maintain peace before, during and after the elections, it was expected that Buhari would talk to his blood thirsty supporters to let peace reign.

"However, the orchestrated attacks on the campaign train of the president in Katsina and Bauchi States have shown that APC is not a party of peace and we are warning strongly that they must not put Nigeria on the spot.

"Most importantly, Buhari and his APC should tell us in plain language if what they want is to dismember this country, because nobody has monopoly of violence.

"They must stop taking the gentility and civility of President Jonathan as weakness because an attack on the President of a nation is an attack on the country and Buhari should know that he will never be President of Nigeria by intimidation and blood-letting.

"The APC candidate should therefore talk to his blood - thirsty supporters in the North to stop attacking the president, else they risk reprisal attacks from Nigerians in other parts of the country.

Seriously!
Dear Mr Fayose or what ever, the only people desperate for power is your type. I am no politician but i know what politic talk looks like, i don't know why grown ups like you and many out there resort to talking like this, its embarrassing especially for your set of people who always claim they have records and remember history. I get it if you all have the fair of being probed for one thing or the other but speaking wisely and maturely can always help in any situation.
Need i remind you that the same post election violence you pointed out, that of 2011, just because the suit was settled outside court does not mean its not in the archives somewhere maybe in our brains even.
Femi fani kayode AkA FFK has done more shameful things than all of you could do yet he is the one calling the shots on your party's campaign. If you've forgotten then let me jug your memory that he FFk literally acted porn in the media claiming to have slept with Bianca Ojukwu.
No sane person will burst of such act, he may be a christian but he certainly don't know the 10 commandments especially the one pointed at no desiring another man's wife. I don't want to quot verses from the Qur’an or Bible because we Nigerians only mention God with their mouths but don't want anything to do with God when things seem to be okay with there worldly affair.

In a nutshell, as human beings we should use our brains to be creative like ask the necessary questions when it comes to politics.
Now, we make conclusions that APC has done this PDP has done that, have you ever ask yourself what will bring an opposition to the gathering of its rival? Could he or she be dressed in an APC attire and attend a PDP gathering?
Let me give you the summary even those aspiring for various positions in the PDP are telling people that the presidential election should be APC while people should still consider them eligible. I.e they will back APC for Presidency and expect people to support them in their own election. The rub my back and i will rub your back analogy is the deal they are selling.
