Ayo Fayose, Ekiti state Governor-elect yesterday bragged that he has a penchant for defeating incumbent governors.
PM News reported that Fayose who just defeated Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti state Governor in the recently concluded governorship elections in the state told a large gathering of supporters and members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Lagos that the party will defeat APC in the Southwestern states in 2015.
"I have penchant for defeating incumbent governors. I defeated Adebayo in 2003 and Fayemi in 2014. When we defeat them in the last election, they said we rigged", Fayose bragged.
"Did the PDP rig in Ekiti state when I defeated Adebayo, the then incumbent governor?. Fayemi said Adeniyi is his godfather and I told him I defeated his godfather and I would defeat him who is the godson"
Fayemi called on leaders of the PDP in Lagos state to join hands and push out the APC. He urged party leaders to desist from imposition of candidates.
Speaking further concerning 2015, Fayose said, "Nothing will stop Jonathan from being re-elected as president come 2015. He was elected as president in 2011 not by his own making, it was destined. We have God, we have the people, we have the strategy, we did it before and we would do it again no matter what anybody does to frustrate his chances".
