Sports Kano Pillars Are Yet To Sign Chisom Chikatara- Media Officer

Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars, have insisted that they haven't secured the signature of the Super Eagles B forward, Chisom Chikatara from Abia Warriors, but added that the stylish forward has promised to join the Sani Abacha outfit in the coming NPFL season.

The 21-year old forward came from the bench to score his first hatrick for the national team, the second in the history of the tournament against the Menas of Niger in a clash that ended 4-1 in favour of the Sunday Oliseh-led boys on Monday evening.

Kano pillars media officer, Idris Malikawa, further explained that Chikatara, showed interest in the club, which apparently means if his move is granted, he won't be playing under new manager, Kennedy Boboye, who just arrived.

“We have not signed any contract papers with Chikatara, but he has given us his word that Kano Pillars is the club he will play for next season if by then he is still playing in the league,” Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa disclosed.

“He approached us and he said he would love to play for us.”

Last year, ‘Kolanut boy’ Chikatara had trials in Switzerland but Abia Warriors said the offer was too poor to consider.

Last season, Christian Obiozor joined Pillars after he scored the winner for Nigeria against Zimbabwe in a third-place match at the 2014 CHAN in South Africa.

However, midway through the campaign the big striker opted to quit the four-time league champions. Africanfootball
