Sambo Dasuki, the National Security Adviser (NSA) for Nigeria has stated that the authorities and other stakeholder so local governments must be equip, for the benefit and safety of dissidents and the nation, to handle the various and upcoming security challenges Nigeria currently faces.
Professor Soji Adelaja represented the NSA at the opening ceremony of the 2013 Local Government Authority Security Conference, and stated that it was of great importance that the security of the nation was the concern of every Nigerian.
The conference is themed “Local Government Authorities as Instruments for Enhancing National Security.”
