Last night saw the premier of Toyin Moore’s latest London Nollywood film called BLOODTYPE rated 15
After a session on the red carpet ( see photos ) VIP, VVIP and standard ticket holders and guests were allowed to enter the auditorium to watch the film.
The film played to a packed audience of mainly Africans, Nigerians , Sierra Leones, Cameroonians.
Written & directed by Toyin Moore who also played the lead role of Queen, and co produced by G Class , BLOOD TYPE is an English speaking London Nollywood Feature film.
The film is about Queen a promiscuous lawyer whose ashewo tendencies are attributed to the sexual abuse she suffered as a young child. Encouraged and prayed for to change her ways by her strict Christian friend Helen ( played by Nneni Ani ) she meets John Remedy on one of her night crawls of drunkenness and picking up men. A relationship and marriage between the two soon starts following the divorce of Joe from his wife. In marriage and with a child named Angel , Queen finds her self unable to settle in into marriage and still embarks on night crawls of drunkenness and debauchery. She seeks help from the church shortly after which a misunderstanding between her and her pastor/counsellors husband takes place, this is resolved and accepted that a change of her ways has taken place.. then the bombshell.
The film contained many great moments and displays many talent of the stars in it, Toyin Moore ‘s graduated skills in acting is seen - the shower scene and her crying scenes were both very believable. Nneni Ani , who had the audience in much laughter was great as the born again Christian friend young actress Michelle Ndolov (young queen) showed great acting skills in her difficult role of young queen. Look out for Deborah Henry in her role as naughty nanny, Posh Dee Raningan, Florence Blaster Okonkwo, John Dumelo , Archie Collin Pearce also stars.
