Metro Nasarawa: Nigerian Police Arrest Monarch for Robbery

the Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a 50-year-old district head of Dagachi Bukan-Sidi, Lafia, Mohammed Agabi for his alleged involvement in a robbery activity in the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lawal Shehu, speaking during a parade of the suspect in Lafia, said the district head was arrested alongside four gang members at his residence, behind the ongoing construction of a Central Bank of Nigeria branch, while trying to sell the guns and other items in his possession.

According to PUNCH reports, Agabi had been in the armed robbery business for some time.

It was further learnt that the monarch supplied guns to the other gang members, who were said to have been terrorising locals.

Items recovered from them included 132 rounds of 7.6mm live ammunition for AK-47 rifles, one bulletproof jacket, two axes and one cutlass with charms.
