President Goodluck Jonathan of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC may be the top contenders in the February 14, 2015 presidential race but there seem to be a slight chance that Nigeria may finally have a female President.
By presenting Prof. Comfort Oluremi Sonaiya as its candidate, KOWA Party has given Nigerians especially the female folk hope that maybe someday a woman will rule Nigeria.
Prof. Sonaiya is presently the only female in the 2015 presidential election race. Her running mate is Saidu Bobboi.
The KOWA presidential candidate is a former Professor of Foreign Languages at the Obafemi Awolowo University and was named an international Ambassador Scientist of the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation in 2008.
She was the National Public Relations officer of KOWA until recently when she picked the party’s presidential ticket.
