Scorer of Nigeria's winning goal against Burkina Faso which clinched the 2013 African Nations Cup trophy,Sunday Mba has been left out of the #SuperEagles team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

There was no place in the team for the CA Bastia midfielder after Super Eagles coach #StephenKeshi named his final 23-man list to the tournament.

Mba's case was not made easy when he became the last player to arrive the Super Eagles, after the friendly against Scotland last Wednesday.

As was the case when the 30-man provisional list was first released last month ,such scenario panned out when the team was eventually pruned down to 23.

The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) upon getting the list duly forwarded it to #FIFA in order to beat the deadline for its submission.

However,as is the case with most things Nigerian, the list was not announced until past midnight, making Nigeria one of the,if not the last country to make public its World Cup list.

Some reports had it that Keshi and the NFF had a disagreement over certain players not to be included in the team, which enhanced the delay in the announcement.

It is understood that some of the NFF officials queried the exclusion of Nosa Igiebor from the team, while Reuben Gabriel was in.

The list was eventually made public after the team had its last training session on Monday evening,in preparation for the friendly game against Greece.

Obinna Nsofor became the big player to be chuffed off from the team to Brazil but such was not the case for other senior players like #JosephYobo and #OsazeOdemwingie.

Both Osaze and Yobo are just making their returns back into the team after being out in the international wilderness for over a year.

Contrary to the clamour by people to have Gombe United goalkeeper,Chigozie Agbim dropped from the team,Keshi stuck to his guns and included him amongst the three goalkeepers going to the World Cup.

Keshi continued his penchant of taking locally based players to big tournaments, with three Nigerian league players making the team.

Although there was no place for the star of the 2014 African Nations Championship(CHAN) Ejike Uzoenyi in the team.
