Supreme Court on Thursday morning dismissed the Ali Modu Sheriff-led Peoples Democratic Party candidate's interlocutory appeal challenging Court of Appeal ruling.
The final court judgement means that the Ahmed Makarfi-led PDP Candidate, Eyitayo Jegede remains candidate for the November 26 gubernatorial election.
A 5-man panel led by acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Onnoghen struck out the interlocutory appeals after hearing them as insisted by Jimoh Ibrahim’s counsel Barrister Nwofor.
Recall that the Special Panel of the Appeal Court in Abuja on Thursday faulted the judgement of the lower court led by Justice Okon Abang on the removal of Eyitayo Jegede's name for Jimoh Ibrahim.
Justice Salauwa says Nwofor submission is lacking in substance & dismisses his preliminary objection to Jegede's appeal
