Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has congratulated Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state on his re-election last Saturday; THIS DAY reported.
Fashola said Aregbesola's re-election was the victory of truth over falsehood.
"The ultimate power rests on the people in a democracy. The ordinary people of the State of Osun have spoken the truth about their Governor and the people-oriented policies of the All Progressives Congress.
"It could be possible to deny what is being said but certainly it is not possible to deny what the eyes could see. Osun State, like every other state under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, remains a proof of our resolve to lead the people of Nigeria to a better rewarding future", Fashola said.
Fashola however, condemned intimidation and harassment of chieftains and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) by security agencies before and during the elections.
