Politics Supreme Court Upholds Obaseki's Victory As Edo Governor

The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Godwin Obaseki as Edo state governor.

The apex court also dismissed the appeal filed by the candidate of the PDP challenging the election of Governor Godwin Obaseki for lacking in merit.



The apex court said it would give in detail, its reasons for the judgment on July 24, 2017.

A seven man panel led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onneghen unanimously dismissed the appeal.

What the honorable justices are simply saying is that people should revolt immediately they felt that their mandate has been stolen? That election was a state sponsored robbery.
