The Turkish Armed Forces have completely taken over the administration of the country to reinstate constitutional order, human rights and freedoms, the rule of law and general security that was damaged.
This was part of the statement released by Turkish military.
The Turkish Prime Minister, Binali Yildirim, according to several media outlets announced that the government would not allow a coup attempt to take place and that he would uphold democracy.
