Mitt Romney, the former US Republican party presidential candidate has stated that he would not be seeking election into the White House in 2016.
After flirting with the idea of running again in the past three weeks, he has said: “After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to become our next nominee."
Even as Romney made his announcement, he found out that several of his former financial backers had already planned to support Jeb Bush, brother and son of former presidents and former governor of Florida.
The decision was because Romney's former donors feel Bush has the personality and senior staff required to win the White House, thing Romney was lacking in in his last two presidential campaigns.
