Politics APC zones Presidency to North West -Daily Independent

The first substantive National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is to emerge from the South-South geo-political zone of the country, if the outcome of a party caucus meeting between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning is anything to go by.

The National Secretary is to come from the troubled North East geo-political zone while the current Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lai Mohammed, might retain his position as the seat has been zoned to the North Central geo-political zone where he hails from.

The all-night meeting where the zoning arrangement was decided was attended by leaders of the APC and members of its Convention Planning Committee led by Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wamakko.
