The Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has over the years been besieged by controversies and till date, very little has changed.

Below are 10 things you should know about PMAN and recent developments within the association:

1. Nigerian singer and entertainer, Pretty Okafor of the 'Junior and Pretty' musical fame has emerged new PMAN president
2. Pretty was declared the president of the music body by Justice A O Abang of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos last week
3. Pretty is expected to run the affairs of the association for the next two years
4. He is expected to conduct a fresh election for PMAN at the end of his tenure
5. Besides being the new PMAN president, pretty is the CEO, PrettyBoy Enterta10ment
6. At the time of writing this, PMAN has sent a letter to President Goodluck Jonathan to rescue the association
7. Pretty's emergence was facilitated by the cooperation of the former president, Murphy Van-Anthony as well as Dr. Kenny George, Dr. Zee Mc Coy, Dennis Baker and others
