Former National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP may soon be reinstated.
The on-going plot to ensure the return of erstwhile National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bamanga Tukur, to his former position, has continued to show prospect of success by the day, according to findings by the Sunday Independent.
Authoritative information available to this paper mid last week, reveals that those PDP chieftains plotting Tukur’s return and their external allies, are presently making a huge success in the scheme. Since his removal as chairman in August last year, he was chairman of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and a Special Ambassador to the government of the federation.
A reliable source close to Tukur told Sunday Independent on Thursday last week that the decision to bring back the former PDP National Chairman to his job was that of some influential governors and their allies within the party and presidency.
