The All Progressives Congress, APC, Anambra state chapter is currently experiencing crisis as the loyalties of their members have become divided following the suspensions of Senator Annie Okonkwo, a deputy national chairman of the party for the South and Mr Chuks Chinwuba, factional party leader.
The duo were suspended by the newly sworn-in interim committee of the Party in Anambra. The Party listed their offence as anti-party activities.
However, sources are claiming that their suspension is due to their recent press statements that the APC will participate in the Anambra LG Polls.
Senator Chris Ngige, the party’s governorship candidate in the 16 November governorship election has challenged the legality of the LG election and has ordered a boycott should the state go ahead with it.
