Gov. Theodore Orji of Abia on returning from the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples' Democratic Party in Abuja on Tuesday has advised the new National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, to make the reconciliation of aggrieved members of the party his priority.
"His priority should be on how to achieve reconciliation within the party and ensure that PDP wins the 2015 general elections,’’ he said.
"The chairman had said that he would reach out to the defecting governors and others, we the governors as well as individuals and chieftains of the party are also reaching out.
"Just watch out, you will see what will happen soon,’’ Orji said.
He admonished party members and supporters in the country to remain faithful, steadfast and resolute in the support for the party.
Meanwhile, Gov. Sullivan Chime of Enugu State in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Chukwudi Achife, in Enugu on Tuesday has called on members of the PDP to cooperate with Mu’azu, to take the party to greater heights.
"The new chairman has a proven knowledge and experience in political administration which he is expected to deploy to unify and strengthen the party,’’ he said.
