The Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has suspended the state's commissioner for women affairs and social development, Lady Love Mma Onyechere for allegedly slapping an employee of the state Local Government Service Commission last week during the registration exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Uhube, Okigwe.
Onyechere's indefinite suspension was announced by the governor yesterday during the state executive council meeting held at the Government House, Owerri. Her suspension took effect immediately after the exco meeting and commissioner for primary and secondary education, Dr (Mrs) Uche Ejiogu directed to act in her place pending the reverse of her suspension.
