In a bid to increase the acceptability of Nigerian Products in the international market, the Federal Government has called on industrialists and investors to evolve a quality and standard way of packaging Nigerian products.
This call was made by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mrs. Bolashade Yemi-osan at the opening ceremony of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) four-day media workshop with the theme: 'Concept of Quality in Nigeria', which started Tuesday in Minna, Niger State.
“Nigerians need to have a rethink towards how best to package whatever product we are producing for exportation,” Yemi-Osan said.
According to her, Nigeria needs to rise to the challenge to global competition to quality and standard and for acceptance and economic development.
Yemi-Osan who was represented by the ministry's Director of Transformation, Jimoh Lawal, said, Nigeria had everything to compete with nations across the globe on issues of trade.
