Politics Niger State Governor Speaks on Office Death

Bababginda Aliyu, Governor of Niger State Nigeria has addressed the issue of the recent death said to have occurred in his office.

The Governor said, "The woman came into my office panting, I thought it was because of the stairs she climbed but she told me that she was sick and had a heart problem.

"She came to lay some complaints on some issues in the state and as she was speaking, she started coughing. When the coughing did not stop, I sent for an ambulance which came and took her to the hospital.

"I want to state here that I was in the office till late in the evening, waiting to hear report about her health, and I was shocked to hear she died.

In Honor to dead, the governor promised to look into the issues brought before him by Hajiya Belkisu Mahmoud. He expressed his condolence to the bereaved family and urged the Head of Service to ensure all her entitlements were paid to the family in due time.

Government House Doctor, Dr. Abdulmalik Ara, also collaborated the Governor's story on the death.
