Welcome to 2015, the year we've all been waiting for. That year in which Nigeria will break; according to America. I want us to start the year by observing a minute silence for the Nyakos' of Nigeria whose political futures died in 2014. Done with that, let us give a big round of applause to the Buharis' who made it into 2015.
In 2014, we saw our first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan "weep" on National television, watched our honorable lawmakers scale gates like "agberos" and heard our Darling President say that "stealing is not corruption".
Before I proceed to spew what 2015 holds for the Nigerian polity, I must confess ; "I may or may not have heard these prophecies from the lips of someone in the highest". If any of my prophecies do not come to pass, don’t blame me; you all know how the prayers of righteous men can change things.
Now it’s time to unveil 2015.
1. President Goodluck Jonathan will sweep the south-west during the 2015 presidential elections, defeat Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress and 9 other relatively unknown aspirants to win the 2015 presidential election.
2. Stella Oduah will become a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
3. There will be no governorship election in Borno state .
4. This year, our favorite mallam, Nasir El-Rufai will dethrone Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna state and rule in his stead.
5. Ekiti state Governor, Ayo Fayose will take off his shirt and fight on the streets .
6. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s latest autobiography "My Watch" will be sold at N500 at bus stops all over Nigeria.
7. Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi will flee Nigeria after Buhari has lost the Presidential election.
8. Nuhu Ribadu, former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC will become Governor of Adamawa.
9. David Mark will not return as Senate President.
10. Lagos state Governor, Babatunde Fashola will vanish into obscurity.
11. By the end of the year, former minister of state for education, Nyseom Wike will be governor of Rivers state.
12. Nasarawa state Governor, Umaru Al-Makura will lose re-election .
13. Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP will become Governor of Lagos state.
14. Speaker of the house of representatives, Aminu Tambuwal will become Governor of Sokoto
