Entertainment Nigerian Arrested For Impersonating Ghanaian Actor, Majid Michel

A certain Nigerian, Kelvin Ogodogu has been arrested in Ghana for allegedly impersonating Ghanaian actor, Majid Machel; claiming he (actor) needed money for his late mum's burial arrangements as he was cash strapped.

The suspect was placed under security watch in the course of swindling a woman based in the United States, Ikay; who was deceived into thinking she was communicating with Majid Michel.

Ogodogu ran out of luck when he was arrested at the point of trying to receive money through the Western Union money transfer system.

During interrogation, Ogodogu told the police that he bears the nickname, Majid Michel. He explained that while he was in Nigeria, he adored the Ghanaian actor to a point that his friends gave him the monicker, Majid.

He added that upon his return to Ghana, he sustained the use of his nickname till the point when the victim, Ikay initiated a conversation with him on a popular social media website.

According to the police, Ogodogu had requested for the sum of $5,000, which the American was willing to pay.

Sergeant Daniel Ziga of the La Police Station has made it clear that Ogodogu will be charged to court to answer to the allegations leveled against him.
