Minister of State for Works, Mr Adedayo Adeyeye, on Wednesday warned APC leaders against inflammatory statements that could promote violence in the country.
Adeyeye, who gave the warning in a release issued in Ado-Ekiti, described as treasonable the statement made by APC National Chairman, Mr Odigie Oyegun, saying the party would form a parallel government should PDP win the 2015 presidential election.

“It amounts to hatred for Nigeria as a nation and an insult on Ekiti people for anyone to claim that the mandate freely given to Mr Ayodele Fayose was a stolen one.
“How can anyone describe votes freely given by the people in the June 21 governorship election as a stolen one?
“It is unbecoming of a party that wants to rule Nigeria to be threatening to cause anarchy in the country.
“By their attitude, any election they did not win is rigged, therefore, if the APC loses the 2015 presidential election, they will claim that the election was rigged.
“There is nothing the APC can do that the party will not lose because President Goodluck Jonathan will be re-elected come 2015.
“The APC will therefore throw the entire country into chaos by forming a parallel government and I can assure you that it will be their most undoing,” Adeyeye added.
