An impressive second half display from Arsenal helped them roar to a 2-0 defeat of Fulham as they remained top of the Premier League table.

Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla got both goals that secured the victory, making it two consecutive wins in five days for Arsenal.

Both teams went into the break with the scores still goalless after Fulham put up a good defensive display.

But the visiting team caved into pressure after some neat passes from Arsenal resulted in Cazorla putting the Gunners ahead with a right-footed shot in the 57th minute.

Not long after,Nacho Monreal's cross was cleared by Hangeland, only for Cazorla's left-footed effort to find the bottom corner for his second goal of the match.

The win ensured that Arsenal still remained top of the table, with Manchester City just a point behind them.

City on their part did justice to their game against Cardiff in another emphatic fashion winning 4-2.

It was a game that they scored their 100th goal in all competitions and added another three to take their tally to 103 so far in the season.

Edin Dzeko opened the floodgates for City, before further goals from Jesus Navas,Yaya Toure and Kun Aguero confirmed the win, despite goals from Noone and Campbell for Cardiff.

While Arsenal are on 51 points,City trail behind on 50 points after 22 games from both sides.
