Vanguard News report indicates Empress Njama celebrated her birthday last Sunday at The Druz Garden, Maitama, Abuja, with over 1000 less-privileged kids.
According to the report, the CEO, House of Empress (HOE), disclosed she was motivated to help the less-privileged as one of her childhood desire.
“It all comes from the love I have for kids; this is something I like to do and my mum is not surprised that I am doing it today. I have always had a passion for kids. It’s like we are a big family; my mum is the mother of us all and I am their aunty and big sister,” she said.
Empress, who had her mum Mrs. Njama in attendance, said her idea of a birthday party with the less-privileged started when she was a kid, after she disclosed to her mum she intends to spend her birthday with kids, and her family had a memorable Christmas party.
“You have not given until you give to someone who can’t repay you. A lot of us don’t understand what charity is all about but with very little we can put smiles on the faces of these kids; we need to make these kids know that we need and love them,” Empress advised her colleagues.
Oghenekaro, Benson Okonkwo , Fred Amata, Charles Inogie, and Cynthia among several others were some of the actors and artistes at the event.
