#Arsenal came from two goals down to break their hoodoo and win a title for the first time after a nine-year drought.

A hard fought 3-2 victory at the Wembley stadium was what Arsenal needed to beat #HullCity and claim the FA Cup title.

Another fruitless campaign looked like it was on the cards, with the Gunners already chasing the game just after 10 minutes that the match commenced.

Arsenal were jolted with Hull City's fantastic start, struggling initially to cope with their determination and grit.

Hull on their part got the best start they could have wished for in the Cup final, exuding confidence without fear that they were dubbed the underdogs.

#JamesChester got a touch to the ball and redirected a volley from a corner kick, seeing his effort hit the inside post and beating the outstretched Lukas #Fabianski for Hull's opener.

Not the script that was anticipated, with Arsenal needing to overhaul their game-plan in order to avoid a shameful ending.

And as Hull's surprise start was still sinking in,Hull added a second goal just before the 10th minute. Curtis Davies followed up Fabianski spectacular safe, making sure the ball ended in the back of the net for the second goal.

#Arsenal was deflected and in tatters, with history on the horizon to repeat itself against the gunners.

It could have even been worse after #AlexBruce's header was cleared off the line by Kieran Gibbs, preventing a third goal.

Arsenal gave themselves hope, reducing the deficit through a superbly played free kick from Santi Cazorla to score for the Gunners.

The momentum shifted to Gunners and they went down hunting the Tigers.

However Hull, defended astutely throwing their bodies to every ball, with Davies showing good defensive leadership.

Arsenal had some penalty appeals turned down in the second half, first was a tug by Tom Huddlestone in the box, then a couple of shouts by #SantiCazorla.

Hull held on and pushed to see out the game, however Arsenal found a breakthrough through Laurent #Koscielny who endured a tough tackle to level at 2-2.

Gibbs had a golden opportunity to win the game in regulation time, left at the mercy of the post but he only ballooned his effort over the bar.

In extra time,Olivier #Giroud came close for the Gunners heading a ball on to the crossbar.

With Hull City tiring,#ArseneWenger brought in Tomas #Rosicky and Jack #Wilshere to inject pace in their midfield.

And it was their movements that resulted in the third decisive goal. Giroud backheeled a pass to an onrushing Aaron Ramsey who waltzed the ball into the net for 3-2.

Nigerian player #SoneAluko rattled the gunners and almost equalised after capitalizing on Per Mertesacker's error to go past Fabianski, but his effort sailed inches out of goal.

But Arsenal were not to be breached again, holding on right to the end to silence critics who have had doubts on their capabilities to win trophies.

Coincidentally, the FA Cup title was the last trophy they have won since 2005,but another FA Cup triumph in Wembley on Saturday helped them break that circle.
