Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has declared the commitment of his administration to complete the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo-Nkoro Unity road, for the development of the riverine communities in the area.
He told journalists yesterday, after inspecting the ongoing construction of the roads in the state.
Governor Wike expressed confidence that the project will get to Opobo-Nkoro Local Government area in May and also to Ikuru town in Andoni Local Government area within the same period.
He stated that the early morning inspection of the road was necessitated by the complaints of stakeholders from Andoni Local Government area during a solidarity visit to him.
Wike assured that funding of the road project would be maintained to ensure scheduled delivery.
Commenting on the dualization of Saakpenwa-Bori road, Governor Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far. He said the road would be completed in May. The governor also inspected the Woji-Akpajo bridge and road.
