A board of trustee member of APC Prince Benjamin Apugo has reacted swiftly to the publication of one national newspaper which declared him as being on the run following an alleged case of misappropriation of N298,319, 050 million meant to erect fence and gate at the National Theatre Lagos.

The case which was instituted by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism against Bencap Nigeria Limited which is owed by Prince Benjamin Apugo has been described as frivolous, unnecessary and misleading aimed at tarnishing his hard-earned image.

During a chat with Prince Benjamin Apugo, he expressed total shock at how he was attached to the case considering that he has nothing to do with any contract at the National Theatre or with the Ministry Culture and Tourism.

Prince Apugo clarified that he was invited by EFCC in 2013 and asked questions relating to the contract, during the interrogation he explained to them that he was not a party to the contract and cannot be charged with a matter he knows nothing about.

“I told EFCC that I know nothing about the matter, my company has never carried out any contract at the National Theatre, so why should I be linked to it”

Prince Benjamin went further to vent his anger on the attempt to snare his name by saying he was on the run in a case that has not even started, a case whose mentioned date is fixed for November 8, 2017.

When asked who he thinks is behind this, Prince Benjamin pointed to his political enemies who he claim have been trying since 2013 to fight him with EFCC, he insisted that they will not defeat him as he has always defeated them.

When we conducted some research on the said contract, we discovered that the contract was actually awarded to a contraction company known as Technoexportstory and not Bencap Nigeria Limited.
