Yesterday, General Jeremiah Useni (rtd), National Chairman of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), wrote to the House of Representatives protesting the defection of one of his members, Hon. Suleiman Kwande, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) instead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as he was instructed.

In the letter, Useni said the former DPP member did not have the backing of the party to join the APC. He further noted that the lawmaker was directed to join the PDP, not the APC.

"He was directed to declare for the PDP, not APC", part of the letter read.

After he reading the letter, the House of representatives speaker, Aminu Tambuwal said he read it out for two reasons. First, to avoid being accused of having an ulterior motive if he did not; and secondly, he suggested jocularly that he read the letter in order to keep reminding his colleagues who might want to abandon the parties on which platform they were elected to the House to first of all inform their party chairmen before announcing their intentions.

Lol!!

It is no longer their business as he is not in the party any more. Unless he has no political machinery of his own in that case he might be toast politically.
