Sports President Buhari Hails Super Falcons For Beating South Africa

Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to the Super Falcons for qualifying for the final of this 2016 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Falcons edged South Africa's Bayana Bayana 1-0 in a keenly contested semi-final on Tuesday in Limbe.

Commenting after the win against South Africa, President Buhari stated that Nigerians will be looking forward to the final against Cameroon.

"Our Super Falcons have made Nigeria proud again. The entire country looks forward to the #AWCON2016 Final on Saturday," President Buhari wrote on his Twitter handle.

Desire Oparanozie got the Falcons' only goal from a thunderous free-kick early in the second half to give Nigeria the win.

Super Falcons will clash with hosts Cameroon in the final on Saturday December 3, while South Africa and Ghana will square off in the third place match on Friday, December 2.
