Sports What We Learnt From Nigeria's 1-1 Draw Against Tunisia

The Super Eagles coach made three changes to his team against the Menas of Niger for his side's second game against Tunisia, which ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Nigeria stays top with 4 points, after failing to hold their 1-0 lead earlier in the game through Chikatara, while Guinea closely follow with two points after two draws against Niger and Guinea.

Tunisia are third also with two points from two draws, but with lesser goals advantage as against Guinea who scored twice against Niger on Friday.

This means that Nigeria need at least a draw to progress to the next round of the championship, if they plan to surpass the records of the last set that won Bronze in South Africa in 2014.

What we learnt from the game
Sunday Oliseh haven't played three test games in South Africa before the tournament kicked off, hence the coach is yet to have his first eleven which may affect the chemistry of the team of the pitch.

Tunde Adeniji sat on the bench all through the game against the Carthage Eagles, and that, we believe may have depleted the young man's confidence in his ability and even the coach's. He was removed in the first game which wasn't impressive but we think the Sunshine stars top scorer in 2015 NPFL should have been given another chance.

Chison Chikatara has scored four goals for Nigeria in this edition of the championship, but little did Oliseh know that if the Abia Warriors forward had come from the bench, it would have been better, because the 21-year old player seems to have the ability to read the game while in the stands.

Nigeria got off with a bang on Monday, when they thrashed Niger 4-1, but could not replicate the result against Tunisia, this means that the opposition got stiffer and the Nigerian team that were scoring four days before went on holiday. And they should know that as the championship progresses, the opposition will get even stiffer the more.
Nigeria will be playing Guinea on Tuesday, a black African country, who also have the ambition to move to the knock out stage. They will give Olise's boys a real run for their money. They are strong and have power.

By then, we hope our coach will not be changing players like depleted tires, and maybe he should be told championships like this are not used to test run players...
