Kogi- Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi on Monday in Lokoja appealed to his co-contestant for the governorship ticket of the PDP in the 2011 election, Alhaji Jibril Isah, popularly known as Echocho, not to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He also urged Echocho and his supporters to join hands with him in a bid to put the party in a good position to win the 2015 general elections.

He said that the task of building a new Kogi required the support and understanding of everybody and called on all citizens to rally round him to take the state to the next level.

The governor said that he bore no grudge or malice against anyone in the party.

According to him, the main task before his administration is how to actualise the transformation agenda in the health and agricultural sectors of the state.

He also thanked party faithful for their show of love and cooperation while the court case lasted and promised to ensure that PDP remains the party to beat in the coming elections.
